I was amazed at the quality of the sweater. I would have preferred a shorter neck style but am very pleased overall. For the price it was way beyond my expectations.

This is a lovely warm sweater, especially around the neck (if you like that). Would have given 5 stars, except size wise they run small. I am 5'6" with a 32-33 waist and the medium was way too tight.

Confer my earlier review where I mentioned I would buy a second sweater. It's interesting that another reviewer here also mentioned he's bought more than one.

For whatever reason, it's a challenge for those of us in the U.S. to find quality alpaca garments and blankets at reasonable prices. That's why I keep returning to this site. Another reason is that the clothing design is not run of the mill. I don't exclusively shop here for alpaca clothing, but I don't buy elsewhere generally without first stopping in here to check if they carry the item.

The variety of colors is just outstanding. Also great was the fit. Unfortunately I have transitioned out of medium and into large and this garment is just the perfect size in large for me. I am 5'9 and 210lbs if that helps you to size. Not baggy nor tight. I was most amazed at the warmth, very good range of comfort. The fabric is not thin nor is it that thick so it is easy to layer. Seeing the other review explains the little bit of itchiness/scratchiness experienced. For me in particular it is not as bad as to discourage me from wearing it but if you are sensitive, I would suggest to try one out first. I have four and will add a few more colors before Christmas.

Anyone in the market for a sweater faces a daunting selection of sweaters that can be bought online new or used.

I wanted a sweater made from alpaca. I'd already bought a 100% alpaca sweater from here. That sweater is my most valued article of clothing.

This turtleneck sweater, I'm told, is 50% alpaca/50% wool. It runs a close second as far my favorite garment.

The sweater is well designed and well made. It has a shape; it doesn't just hang. The cuffs and turtleneck styling contribute to the warmth, keeping the warm air in.

I like to wear what is sometimes called a chub, neck warmer, or neck gaiter. The turtleneck collar obviates the need for that.

The charcoal color hits that point between black and grey that like.

So while there are a myriad of sweaters to choose from in the universe of online stores, this sweater manages to capture almost exactly what I want in a sweater. The right material, the right style, and the right color. I plan to buy a second one.

Beautifully made, great looking, soft and warm. A great product at a great price.
